Newspaper Boxes Ordinance Community Meeting

, the City of Menlo Park is hosting a Community Meeting to discuss the complaints related to the proliferation and lack of maintenance of newspaper racks in Menlo Park. The goal of this meeting is to discuss possible solutions to address these complaints. Staff will present sample ordinances from other jurisdictions as well as a draft implementation timeline. We want your input and assistance in developing solutions to address the community’s concerns.
The meeting will be held at the
Arrillaga Recreation Center
located at 700 Alma St., Menlo Park.

From Hong Kong, London, and Paris, to New York and Menlo Park, Ceci Wong has traveled near and far. After receiving her gemologist certification from the Gemological Institute of America, Ceci has experienced working for companies such as Tiffany & Co, and Neiman-Marcus, as well as expanding towards managing her own stores such as Lustre in Valley Fair Mall in 2009, and now Ceci Wong in Menlo Park since 2014.
Nonetheless, Ceci was not always a gemologist. As a child Ceci received the opportunity to ride horses in movies that were developed by Shaw Brothers Studio due to her family’s career as horse trainers. Growing up in an environment where actors wore luxurious items influenced Ceci to not only buy her first pair of diamond earrings as a child, but also become a gemologist.
After coming to the Menlo Park area on several occasions to meet her clients privately, Ceci decided to open Ceci Wong. Ceci takes the opportunity to host special events in her store as well as reserves time for her customers to come in and privately peruse her shop.

The 2nd Annual Immigrant Integration Summit will highlight the experiences that immigrant youth face in San Mateo County. We will hear about current national/local policies affecting young immigrants today, discovers ways that we can support young immigrants, and hear about educational, legal, economic and social barriers affecting this generation of young immigrants in San Mateo County.
