Get into the "UNSELFIE" act for Giving Tuesday!

Giving Tuesday falls after Black Friday, Shop Small Saturday and Cyber Monday. Though it is last in the line up and after the major commerce "holidays", it is time to plan now how you can contribute to great causes in organizations in our community.

Many of our non-profit organizations are participating in Giving Tuesday. Let us know how we can give and we will post your organization in the newsletter.

What is an UNSelfie?

Solutions for Change is doing something extra creative!

They are showcasing donors and supporters (like you!) on giving Tuesday with an Unselfie post.
  • Print out the attached "UNSelfie" template
  • Write in why you give to Solutions with a sharpie or marker
  • Have someone take your photo holding the page
  • Send the photo to me Debra Sallaz
An unselfish act can make a world of change.

Sincerely,

Rorie Johnston

Breakfast with the Mayor
When was the last time you had breakfast with an elected official?

Each month we host a breakfast, sponsored by AT&T, with a city leader.

Next Tuesday, October 24 at 7:30am is your opportunity to meet with Mayor Sam Abed.

What is in store for Escondido? Why is the council concerned about the cost of pensions? How will the new developments affect our city?

As a member of the Chamber, you are welcomed to join us! Just RSVP HERE

Member Highlight - Stone & Glass is in the house!

Five months after the fire closed them down, Stone & Glass is ready to open.

When fire destroyed their beloved studio on Simpson Way, it didn't take their spirit. NOW, they are rising like a phoenix from the ashes!

The new gallery is larger and will feature the work of James Stone as well as the works of other select talented artists. There is also a new  viewing area for guests to watch the glass artist in action from the comfort of the climate controlled gallery.

Join Stone & Glass for their long awaited Grand Re-Opening:

Saturday, November 11, 1:00 - 7:00 pm
