Celebrate friendships while decorating cookies and enjoying a cup of coffee. Then, end your morning with a delicious brunch while being inspired by our Guest Speaker. We will be pre-selling tickets to Valley Church Women:
- Before and after Sunday services July 8/9 and July 15/16
- In the church office Monday, July 10 - Friday July 14, 8:30-5:00

Ticket Sales:
Tickets will go on sale online starting Monday, July 17, during our Christmas in July promotion. Reserved table seating will be determined on the order in which tickets are purchased...so, get your tickets early!
VERY IMPORTANT:
Remember, if you are planning on sitting with a friend or a group of friends at the brunch, seating will be assigned by the order in which tickets are purchased, so your group's tickets must be purchased by one person to assure that you will be able to sit together.

as our
VERY SPECIAL GUEST SPEAKER!
Kimberly Stuart in an effort to condone the time and money spent, would like you to know she holds degrees from St. Olaf College and the University of Iowa. She learned lots of interesting things at these fine institutions, none of which prepared her for the lethal cocktail of parenthood and writing. Stuart is the author of seven novels, including the Heidi Elliott series, Act Two, Stretch Marks, Operation Bonnet and Sugar. She is a frequent speaker to women's groups and is passionate about helping others let God write engaging stories with their lives. Kimberly lives, plays, works and eats lots of chocolate in Des Moines, Iowa, where she makes her home with a forgiving husband and three wily kids. Find out more about Kim by clicking HERE!

SUMMER THRIVE & SERVE - AGAPE PREGNANCY CENTER
|
Women's Ministry offers you an opportunity this summer that will put faith into action and love our city. Our focus is the Agape Pregnancy Center. You may participate in several ways:
- Women's Ministry Service Day 2017 - Tuesday, July 11th, 9am-2pm! We will be cleaning, putting layettes together and various other tasks around the center that day. Lunch will be served.

- Life 107.1's Drive Thru Baby Shower Thursday, July 13, 2017 11:00am- 1pm
You can bless some Central Iowa women and get a chance to win tickets!
Life 107.1 is teaming up with Agape Pregnancy Center for a Drive Thru Baby Shower on Thursday, July 13. We'll be at Valley Community Center from 11am to 1pm taking your donations to help the ministry of Agape Pregnancy Center. When you bring your donations, we'll put a window sticker on your car and put your name into a drawing for two tickets to see for KING & COUNTRY and Matt Maher at the State Fair, and you won't even have to get out of your car!
The biggest donation needs are:
- Size 4 diapers
- New newborn size clothing, onesies, and sleepers
- Stamps (for office use and mailing at Agape)
- New baby blankets and quilts
- Department store gift cards (used to buy car seats and pack n plays for clients taking parenting classes at Agape)
So stop by, help change a life, and maybe even win some tickets! We can't wait to see you on July 13.

 enjoy crocheting and/or knitting, please join us on Thursday,

1:30 pm at the
Valley Community Center Cafe area for an informational meeting. We will be discussing starting Valley Hooks & Needles, a yarn group to make prayer shawls and baby dedication blankets for Women's and Children's ministries. This is a great opportunity to be used by God and glorify His Kingdom.

Project: Impact is just one of the ways you can help Valley Community Center as we are "Doing good for the community...with the community."
Each month, you have an opportunity to donate items that are then collected and distributed to local agencies - everything from food, diapers, blankets, coats, shoes, and more!

Want to clean out your closet and help those in need at the same time? Donate to the Garage NO Sale! Your couches, tables, chairs, dressers, vacuums, fans, dishes, lamps, utensils, pots, pans, and more can be a blessing to others. We ask that donated items be clean, in good condition, and sorted by category (housewares, toys, clothing separated by age and gender, etc.).
Due to space constraints, we are not able to accept early donations. We cannot accept donations of mattresses or tube TVs.

FAMILY LEADERSHIP SUMMIT - JULY 15
|
MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers)
at Valley Church provides an invaluable ministry to mothers in the Des Moines metro area through meetings that are held two times a month (September through May). At the meetings, members of MOPS gather together in a community that surrounds them with the love of Jesus. These meetings play a crucial role in helping moms make connections and form lasting friendships with other mothers. It is so important for them to know that they are not on this journey alone!
How can you partner with us in this ministry? We are in need of loving workers and/or volunteers for our MOPS kids during meetings (2 Fridays per month,
from 9:00 am- 11:30 am). We have both paid and volunteer positions open. Please contact Andrea Stevenson at andrea.emery21@gmail.com with interest or questions.
