Thank You, Thank You, Thank You!
Last week we saw how very talented our students are! Thank you to all who worked with the students to prepare them for our annual Variety Show, and thanks also for bringing them out to perform for the Parish Talent Show. Our students were fantastic!
To all who did service hours at the parish Octoberfest, your help and support is very much appreciated. Parents did all kinds of jobs during Octoberfest and many gave extra hours (and pizza!) Coming together to support the church is so very important since St. Ignatius gives us both spiritual and financial support throughout the year.

Fabulous Falcons - October 13th
We are proud of all of our students who make good behavior choices each day!

Something New for Halloween
Halloween will be extra special this year as we try Trunk-or-Treat for the first time at St. Ignatius! Trunk -or-Treat is a fun, safe way to experience Trick-or-treating. Parked cars decorate their trunks with a theme and give out goodies to those who stop by. Many trunks include an interactive experience for the children. Since Halloween will be a 12:30 dismissal day this year, this activity will be perfect for the shorter day. Room parents will be providing the 'trunks'. If space is available, we will ask for other parent volunteers who would like to participate with their cars.
How can you help? Please consider donating a bag of candy or small non-food items so that each car has plenty of goodies for our students.
Students will be voting on the best decorated car.

Help a family in Puerto Rico
Family members of one of our school families need our help. If you are able, please donate from the list of items found on our Facebook post regarding donation to Puerto Rico.
The box for donations can be found in the office.

Congratulations to our Lady Falcons, Girls' Varsity Volleyball team. They currently have a record of 3 wins, and 1 loss. Our Little Lady Falcons are their biggest fans!
SAVE THE DATE!
Our annual Girls' Night Out event is coming soon and promises to be a howling good time! It will take place on October 28th. Flyers have been sent home requesting help for the event.
More event details to follow...

Enrichment Programs
After School Enrichment Opportunities include Chess Club, Bricks 4 Kidz (Lego STEM program), Theater Class, and Folklorico. Chess Club has been invited to compete in the Catholic Schools Chess Tournament. Folklorico recently performed in our school Variety Show.
Please call the office for more information on any of these programs. A new 'Spanish Club' program will be piloted by a group of students and may open up to the school in a few weeks.
Dominican Corner
Each year, our Dominican Sisters of Mission San Jose harvest the olives that grow on the grounds of the MSJ Motherhouse in San Jose. The olives are pressed and the oil is bottled and sold to help support the sisters' ministry. If you would like to help the sisters, please consider buying some olive oil this year, or even better, visiting the Motherhouse to help with the olive harvest. This family event will take place on November 4th and is open to all!
