he September meeting of the Northland Democratic Club featured a presentation by State
Representative Jon Carpenter. He gave a review of the Veto Session in which Governor Greitens vetoed the bi-partisan bill that would have taken unused state funds to offset the cost of home health care services for 8,000 Missouri seniors, disabled people and veterans. A discussion followed about the importance of finding and supporting Democratic candidates for the legislature in 2018.
The Young Democrats Club from the North Kansas City School District was on hand for the meeting.
