Well it's that time; the beginning of the school year is officially here!  On behalf of the Lakeview PTSA we want to welcome all the new families as well as those who are returning from last year. We hope you had a most enjoyable summer and are well-rested and ready for an amazing 2017-2018 school year.  Go Leopards!

As the new co-presidents of the PTSA we invite you to come meet your Lakeview PTSA at the Back to School Ice Cream Social on September 14 and learn how you can make a difference in your children's academic and social life.

Ice Cream Social
September 14th at 5:30PM

The Lakeview PTSA would like to invite students and their families to this year's Back to School Ice Cream Social!

Date:  Thursday, September 14th at 5:30PM
Location:  The Lakeview Elementary Courtyard
Cost:  This year ice cream and toppings are free!  In lieu, donations will be accepted for the nutrition program which provides food for pantry packs and snacks.

Also, we will have many after-school enrichment vendors on site to share their products and services.



Smile!  It's Almost Picture Day
Mark your calendars for September 14

Lakeview's Picture Day is early this year on September 14, 2017!  Retake day will be November 2, 2017.   If you haven't already ordered pictures, you can order them online.
We need volunteers on Picture Day.  There will be two three-hour shifts, 9:00 AM-Noon, and Noon-3:00 PM.  We will need 4 volunteers for each shift. Click here if you would like to help.

Please note:  As a token of appreciation, volunteers for one shift will receive a complimentary "Basic" Photo Package.  If you volunteer for the entire day (both shifts) you will receive an upgraded Photo Package.  If you have any questions please contact  School Services Chair Karee Oliver.

Retake day will be November 2, 2017.

Show your kids how much you support their education and their school, be "in the know," and enjoy exclusive discounts available upon registration.  Benefits include discounts to Great Wolf Lodge, Silverwood Theme Park, Tacoma Dome, UW Husky School Kickoff, Wild Waves Theme Park, Washington State Fair and more!

In the first two days of school, already we have an amazing 124 paid members, including 74 families and 6 teachers. The Washington State PTA offers awards to schools that register more families than the previous year by September 30th, so let's show the state how awesome this year's Lakeview families are! Go Leopards!

Feeding hungry children

Did you know that last school year the grassroots Pantry Packs initiative provided weekend food for over 750 students each week?   Pantry Packs is now 
an official Lake Washington Schools Foundation
 program.   Donate to Pantry Packs here.

If you are interested in receiving a weekend Pantry Pack at Lakeview, please fill out and return the gold colored form in your welcome packet. Please send questions about Pantry Packs at Lakeview to Sandra DiGiacomo, Health Room Secretary.
