New Lowery Center - STEAM Projects Moving Forward

Work continues on two major construction projects within Allen ISD.  The new Lowery Freshman Center (above) is on schedule to be completed for an August 2018 opening.  The school is being built adjacent to the current freshman center on Greenville Avenue.

Across town on Ridgeview Drive, the STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) Center is beginning to take shape after several months of site and foundation work.  The new specialized campus will open in 2019.  Both projects were approved by voters in November 2015.

A World Wear Project clothing drive will also be held during the event to support families in need. Bring your gently used shoes, clothing, backpacks, purses and other accessories and drop them off at the bins near the entrance.

Looking For School Info?
Check Out Peachjar...

Allen ISD's electronic flyer system Peachjar has been in place for a year. The system allows flyers from area non-profit and school organizations to be sent electronically by email and posted online for up to 30 days.

If printed and distributed, over 450,000 flyers would have been sent home with students last year. Peachjar helped save 55 trees in paper costs last year and significantly reduced the amount of time teachers devoted to distributing materials in class.

To view the school flyers, parents need to look for the orange Peachjar button on their school's home page.  Please look for the Peachjar emails and online postings since flyers are no longer being sent home with students.

For more information about Peachjar please visit their website  .
