Softball completed their season at regionals falling short in a game against 2nd seed Brighton. The team finished fourth in the league and had a overall record of 12-10. Senior Emilie Roberts finished the season with eleven home runs while sophomore Yasmine Ybarra finished with six home runs. Senior Kayla Banks led the pitchers with eleven wins. With a large group of young talent returning, the future is bright for the Buffs. Volleyball The girls are 5-12, with two home matches this week. The team has a tournament next week at Legend High School. The team has played tough throughout the year and have lost many sets by 3 or 4 points. Kaitlyn Thompson and Hannah Todd have been steady all year for the Buffs. Boys' Tennis Despite not having any state qualifiers, the Buffs had a good year finishing fourth in league as a team. The #4 doubles team of Hunter Monson and Anshu Mohan finished as alternates to state at the regional tournament. Football The Buffs continue to fight through tough opponents and injury. At 1-6, they have three games remaining including senior night on October 26th. With the young players the team has, they look to continue to battle and gain momentum. Boys' Golf  Junior Chris Kennedy finished in a tie for 14th at the 5A state golf tournament. He has competed in the state tournament three straight years and was named second team all-state. Poms The poms continue to work hard and improve. You have another opportunity to see them perform at the last home football game on October 26th. Field Hockey After the young Buffs continued to improve, freshman Kate Smetana scored the first goal of the season. In that game the Buffs fell to Golden 2-1. The girls have continued to work hard and enjoy the opportunity to compete. Cheer The cheer team will be hosting the Top of the Hill competition at Smoky Hill this Saturday. They continue to improve and are heading into competition season planning on showing well. Gymnastics Annabelle Pedderson, Mabry Robinson, and Aaliyah Jamison all compete for the district gymnastics team at Overland. Freshman Mabry Robinson has performed well on the vault this year. Boys' Soccer is 7-7 heading into the regular season finale at home against Cherry Creek. The boys are hoping to make a trip to the playoffs, although that will not be determined until Sunday, October 22nd. Cross Country With continued improvement through the league meet last week, the Buffs prepare for regionals in Northglenn. At regionals Amelia Johannes, May Thomas, and Evangelyne Eliason lead the girls, while Skyler Bachicha, Oumari Smith, and Dalton Seymor lead the boys.

All games and matches in the West gym will be streamed live on the NFHS Network  HERE.
