The Therapeutic Spiral Model's (TSM) 'Trauma Triangle' is a unique configuration that clarifies the destructive cycle of victim, perpetrator, and abandoning authority. This last role was created to explain the subtle, yet damaging, presence of someone who was absent-not there to rescue- i.e., there was no appropriate authority.
The Trauma Triangle represents a closed circuit of energy embedded in the personality structure of those who have survived cruelty or trauma, repeating itself as life-long patterns of abuse and neglect. This training provides tools that empower transformation of self-neglect to self-care and that instill healthy problem-solving.
Participants gain a deeper understanding of the internal personality and neurobiological structure of PTSD; learn to integrate TSM's Prescriptive Roles & Safety Structures into clinical practice, and experience the power and depth of a TSM group process that is used across cultures.
This workshop offers training hours for Psychodrama and can be a stand-alone or foundation course for TSI's International Certification Program in Trauma Therapy
This is a tried-and-true TSM workshop that developed to help persons who have suffered trauma build the spontaneity and creativity needed to face life's challenges. This is done without the veil of addictions that so many have used to cope. These addictions include alcohol and substance abuse, along with others not readily recognized: love, work, exercise, food, internet and cell phone, even worry and lack of self-care.
We use both psychodrama, sandtray therapy, and proven TSM group work to increase participants resilience and to create a cohesive and supportive group experience.
This workshop is for those who are currently in therapy or on a personal journey of healing. It is appropriate for professionals who seek to do personal work, while learning tools that can be applied to their professional work.
Participants will learn experiential tools to work safely with trauma survivors and with those in recovery.
