Nuer women fleeing civil war in South Sudan face a new journey in San Diego. With the help of Roberta, a volunteer and chainsaw-wielding arborist from Alpine, the women learn the preciousness of love, friendship, and culture.

Ben Phoenix has been wrongfully exiled to the fringes of society. In a world suffocated by radiation, this city of rings is the only sanctuary left. Distraught and running out of food, citizens are forced to obey the law or face death. Does Ben hold the key to liberating the city?
New Works Studiois a program for the development of new full-length plays. Four playwrights from Southern California have each been working on a new play since February with the help of each other and SRT. This program culminates with a public reading of each play at Scripps Ranch Theatre. It is free to attend (donations at the door are suggested but not mandatory).
