CASA in the Community
CASA is active in the community! Over the summer, we volunteered with United Way of SBC to
Stuff the Bus, sending students back to school with backpacks and supplies. This past Saturday, we had a blast volunteering with the
San Benito Olive Festival in the food demo area. And we are pleased to be honoring Events Chair & current Board Chair Dave Meraz as our 2017 Outstanding Philanthropist on Nov. 15th during the
National Philanthropy Day celebration.
Dave's passion for supporting youth and commitment to CASA are to be commended. He is always been available to lend a helping hand and assist with projects and events, enabling CASA to further its mission of advocating on behalf of foster children from our community. Thank you, and congratulations, Dave!

Fall Advocate Training Session
It's not too late to join the Fall Advocate Training! We are always in need of volunteers to advocate for foster children from our community, however, the need is especially great this time of the year. You can make a difference! Upcoming Events
CASA Holiday Project & 12 Days of Giving
It's that time of the year again, and CASA is getting ready to kick off its annual Holiday Project: providing essential-needs items (such as winter coats, socks, shoes & undergarments) and gifts for every foster child from San Benito County this holiday season. If you are interested in supporting the Holiday Project, there are a few ways to get involved:
- "Adopt" a Child: we will then provide you with a list of the child's top needs and wishes. If you would like to "adopt" a child, please contact us by Nov. 17th.
- New & Unwrapped Gifts: for children of all ages (0-21yrs): this could be educational toys, games, books, Barbies, Legos, or gift cards.
- Monetary Donations: are used to purchase essential-needs items and gifts for the foster children. Once again, CASA is honored to be partnering with the 12 Days of Giving Campaign, which means monetary donations made to CASA between Dec. 1 - Dec. 12 will be matched by generous sponsors. Checks may be made directly to CASA, please be sure to note "12 Days" in the memo; or online, please note "CASA" in the purpose/designation field.

Sip, Savor & Celebrate
Mark your calendars! CASA will be hosting its annual Sip, Savor & Celebrate fundraising event on Saturday, April 28th, 2018.
