Sneak Preview of Debris Removal Operations Map

The City of Coral Gables continues its debris collection operations throughout all five zones in the City. Residents can view the above digital map which indicates the areas where debris has been collected thus far on the first pass (we're still collecting). This map reflects debris collection as of September 28. This map, as well as additional digital map updates, are available for viewing on PDF format on the city's website, www.coralgables.com/irma u nder Important Information and Links.

Please note that Miami-Dade County is responsible for  debris collection on county roads such as: SW 57 Ave (South of US-1), LeJeune Rd. (South of US-1), Kendall Drive, Sunset Rd., Old Cutler Rd., Ingraham Parkway, Coral Way, Maynada St., Blue Rd., Davis Rd. and  Douglas Rd.

State roads that are also not in our jurisdiction for debris collection are US-1, SW 57 Ave (North of US-1), Bird Rd., LeJeune Rd. (North of US-1) and SW 8th Street. The City of Coral Gables is waiting on a letter from Miami-Dade County to formally advise us about their plans for debris collection on their respective roads.

What You Can Do To Help?

We appreciate all your concerns and inquiries regarding our debris pick up operations. The City will keep residents informed about our recovery operations as progress is being made. In the meantime, here are a few things you can do to assist us:

Please be mindful not to place any debris materials in the vicinity of storm drains. This will prevent any flooding in our neighborhood caused by rains.

Keep vegetative debris piles free of other material. Do not comingle with plastic bags (even if they contain leaves), furniture, or any other non-vegetative item. This will only delay your pick up.

Do not place in swales any bulk trash for collection as this service is suspended until further notice.

Garbage and recycling services have resumed their regular schedules.  However due to the large amount of volume, we may pick up your recycling bin at a later time. Please leave your recycling bins at the swale (separate from debris piles) or in a location easily accessible to the collection crews until they are collected. Garbage service is back to normal.
