Please note that the date for the October General Meeting at St.Mary's has been postponed from October 6th to Friday, October 13th in order to accommodate  Thanksgiving Weekend. 
 
Please do, however, come to St. Mary's at 9:15 on Friday, October 13th as we'll have a special speaker: our very own President Don Dempson who will take us "Behind the scenes at the Calgary Stampede", where he has volunteered for over 30 years.  To quote Don: 
 
"I have a history of being both in front of and behind the camera but where I like to be is directing the show. And although I don't come from the television world, I've found out - it is challenging, can be stressful, dictates your full attention, but is a blast.  
 
Join me while I take you for a look behind the scenes so I can explain how we 'make magic' while we try to avoid severe thunderstorms, hail, snow, searing heat, cowboys falling off horses, unexpected happenings, uncooperative stock and politics."
