THE CITT/ICTS MENTORING NETWORK TAKES FLIGHT

Thank you to the members for your participation at Rendez-vous 2017 and for your ideas in creating this program. The purpose of The Mentoring Network is to connect members seeking peer support in developing, maintaining, and furthering a career in entertainment technology. The CITT/ICTS website has more information about the updates to the program and you will be able to sign up through your online member profile. Participants can indicate the disciplines where their experience can benefit others. Member participation in The Mentoring Network will ensure its success. I encouraged my fellows to sign up and encourage your colleagues to join. 
 
Why should you join the program? As a mentor, you will have ther opportunity to share your successes with others who are building their careers. As a mentee, you will have the opportunity to reap knowledge obtained through experience. In both cases, the transfer of information and knowledge is two-way; mentor and mentee learning and growing together.
 
I wish to thank Past-President, Michael Harris , Interim President, Elizabeth Wilkie and Board liaison, Scott Martin for their faith in my abilities to bring this program to fruition. Special thanks to National Office Coordinator, Monique Corbeil for her unwavering support and encouragement.
Merci aux membres pour votre participation à Rendez-vous 2017 et pour vos idées qui ont contribué à la création de ce programme. Le but du Réseau Mentorat est de réunir les membres qui cherchent le soutien de leurs pairs dans le développement, le maintien et l'avancement de leur carrière dans les technologies scénographiques. Les informations sur le programme sont disponibles sur le site Web du CITT/ICTS et vous pouvez vous inscrire en ligne via votre profil de membre.   Les participants pourront choisir les disciplines dans lesquelles leur expérience peut bénéficier à d’autres personnes. La participation des membres au Réseau Mentorat assurera son succès. J’encourage mes camarades à s’inscrire et vos collègues à s’y joindre aussi.

Pourquoi adhérer au réseau ? Comme mentor, vous aurez l’opportunité de partager vos succès avec des personnes qui sont en développement de carrière et comme personne mentorée, vous aurez l’opportunité d’acquérir des connaissances obtenues par l’expérience. Dans les deux cas, le transfert d’informations et de connaissances est à double sens : les mentors et les mentoré(e)s apprennent et se perfectionnent mutuellement.

Je tiens à remercier l’ancien président, Michael Harris , la présidente par intérim, Elizabeth Wilkie , et la personne ressource du conseil d’administration Scott Martin pour leur la confiance qu’ils m’ont témoignée dans la conduite de ce projet. Je tiens à remercier tout particulièrement la coordonnatrice nationale, Monique Corbeil , pour son encouragement et son soutien inébranlables.

CITT/ICTS is pleased to announce that Rendez-vous 2018 will be held August 15 - 18, 2018 with pre-conference workshops from August 13 to 15 in St. Catharines, ON at the   Marilyn I. Walker School of Fine & Performing Arts (MIWSFPA) and the FirstOntario Performing Arts Centre (FOPAC).

Sign up now as a full-conference delegate at a very special early rate of 75$ for CITT/ICTS members and partner organizations available until November 30th, 2017.
