Harvesting Sweet Potatoes at Blooming Glen Farm

Food that Makes you Smile

Fall is the perfect time to do a little cocooning in your kitchen. Creamy butternut squash, tart apples, sweet pears are just a few of the gems that you'll  find at the market this week. Cherish the season by baking a homemade apple pie, or maybe some applesauce. (My Mom always makes apple fritters this time of year.) Cook with your kids, and pull out those recipes that grandma used to make. The market is chock full of root veggies for hearty stews. And pasture-raised chicken for a perfect pot of soup or ... maybe some chicken and dumplings?

Let farm fresh food bring your family together. There's nothing like sitting down to a meal and knowing the person who grew each and every ingredient.

Locally Grown Music
Featuring: Not for Coltrane
Saturday 10:00 am - 12 noon

Not For Coltrane is Michael Duck, a guy from Bethlehem with a guitar and a love for blending folk and alt-rock in unexpected ways. His performances bring together jangly acoustic rock, evocative storytelling, and off-the-cuff humor. (Coltrane was the name of his dog, who thought he could sing but unfortunately was never part of the act.)
