McDonnell Honored by Indiana Association of School Principals
Senior Named Indiana Academic Regional All-Star
Senior Aidan McDonnell was one of only 50 students across the Hoosier State to earn the distinction of Indiana Academic Regional All-Star as announced by the Indiana Association of School Principals (IASP).

Academic All-Star distinction recognizes seniors who excel in the classroom first and foremost, but who also are actively involved in their schools and communities, taking on leadership roles in those activities. The program is produced by the IASP with support provided by DePauw University, Indiana University Bloomington, and Purdue University.

Aidan, the son of Barry and Jennifer McDonnell, owns a 4.48 cumulative grade-point average and has represented Marquette admirably in several capacities including academic clubs, technology team efforts, and athletics. He was selected from an elite group of 280 nominees across Indiana's public and private accredited schools.

Monday's announcement is yet another IASP honor for McDonnell, who was one of four Marquette students recognized by the organization in December of 2018 as Rising Stars of Indiana Class of 2020.

The IASP Indiana Academic All-Stars program aims to give academic achievement the prestige it deserves, motivate students to recognize the value of academic excellence, provide students with an incentive for academic achievement, and promote a positive image of Indiana's young people.
