SATURDAY, OCTOBER 14TH:  PARISH WIDE WORK DAY!
9:00 AM

On Saturday October 14th, we plan to have a parish wide work day. The goal is to clean up the parish's attic, shed, and other inside and outside storage areas. Our hope is to get as many volunteers as possible, so feel free to recruit friends, co-committee members, family and neighbors to sign on to help. More details and signup sheet coming soon! Please contact Bill Sprows if you have any questions at [email protected] or (781) 217-1085.
Sunday morning, October 1st, was certainly a very special time for me and Betsy and one of our daughters: to be honored by so many parishioners - some directly with their presence, some with thoughtful cards - some with both; as well as the Vestry with several gifts and the worship leadership of Rev. Jan Walden. What especially stands out for me is the Litany for Celebration and its highlighting the Fruits of the Spirit expressed as Love, Joy, Kindness, Goodness, and Faithfulness. In so many words, our worship was certainly a wonderful time!

Thank you! And, don't worry - I'll try to be a celebrating parishioner!

STEWARDSHIP CAMPAIGN 2017-18:  JOURNEY TO GENEROSITY

"Put simply, life is a God-given opportunity
to become who we are, to affirm our own true
spiritual nature, claim our truth, appropriate and integrate the reality of our being, but most of all,  to say 'Yes' to the One who calls us the Beloved."   ~  Henri J.M. Nouwen

Here at St. Andrew's, we are saying 'Yes' by working together to build strength for our future.

Our church family at St. Andrew's is strengthened by each member and the God-given gifts that we share within these walls and out in the community in mission work. We have restructured our church school format to make the teaching ministry available to more parishioners and to give our children the benefit of learning from and being guided by many adults in our parish. Growing these relationships within the parish brings a richness to the church school experience for both the children and the teachers. Your pledge dollars help provide the resources to support these intergenerational connections and the faith formation of our youth.

Soon you will receive your pledge packet in the mail. Over the next six weeks, pray about your pledge as you consider the appropriate amount to offer to God in thanksgiving for and in support of the  mission and  ministry of St. Andrew's. Bring your pledge card to worship on any  Sunday  or mail it to the office. On November 12 th , we will celebrate Commitment  Sunday  when pledges will be completed and offered as an act of worship.

The vestry and stewardship team have set a challenging, yet attainable goal: receiving pledge commitments from 100% of our worshipping community-led by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit and the God who offers all good gifts. Let's come together on this Journey to Generosity to keep St. Andrew's a thriving part of our lives and our community.
