150 ENVELOPES FUNDRAISER - THIS Sunday is your last opportunity to pick up an envelope!
What is the 150 Envelopes fundraiser?
It's an opportunity to support Nativity's 14 youth and 4 adult leaders who will attend the
2018 ELCA Youth Gathering in Houston, TX, next June! The Youth Gathering is a unique faith forming experience based in interactive learning, worship, Bible study, service and fellowship, alongside 30,000 Lutherans from the US and beyond.
How does it work?
This fundraiser proves that Every Dollar Counts! There are 150 envelopes, marked with dollar amounts from $1-$150.
You're invited to take any envelope (or envelopes!), fill it with the noted dollar amount ($36 in the example above), and return it.
If every envelope is filled and returned, we will raise $11,270 for our Gathering group! This would be an incredible gift to our Gathering group, covering over half of what they'll need to go (the total cost will be about $21,000).
So far, over $5,300 has been claimed! Thank you for your generosity and support of our Youth!

We contract with Vanco, an e-giving company endorsed by the ELCA, to provide an easy option for your offering.
Vanco allows you to set up auto-payments, so you never have to worry about sending in your offering when you're on vacation or forgetting your checkbook.
Auto-payments also help us keep our ministries running steadily here at Nativity.

HURRICANES HARVEY AND IRMA
Join other Thrivent members by supporting disaster relief efforts.
Hurricanes Harvey and Irma have left a trail of destruction across the southern United States. Harvey uprooted the lives and livelihood of hundreds of thousands of people in Texas and western Louisiana. Just two weeks later, Hurricane Irma caused chaos and devastation in Florida as well as in Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. It's anticipated Irma will impact multiple other states, including Georgia and the Carolinas, too. You can make a personal donation on
Thrivent.com
to provide assistance to hurricane victims. When you do,
Thrivent will double the impact
- up to $3 million. This opportunity will run until the $3 million match is met or until December 31, 2017, whichever comes first.

+ Eucharist Presenters
Those who joined us for worship at the 8:30 service last week got to see two of our youngest members -
Abby McCall
and
Sophia Siegert -
helping out by being Eucharist Presenters.
While we used to operate on a schedule, now both sets of Eucharist Presenter volunteers (8:30 and 11:00 worship services) are using a sign-up sheet in the Fellowship Hall.
If enough people sign-up, we can avoid needing a schedule, so we invite everybody to consider volunteering for a Sunday or two.
It's very easy and a great way to get involved in worship. If you need any tips, just ask
Abby
or
Sophia
!
Pr. Gregg can also answer any questions you might have.
