Volunteer of the Year!
Julie Zara
Congratulations to Julie Zara for being selected as our Volunteer of the Year!

Julie has given above and beyond of her time, resources, and energy to selflessly serve our community. She loves the Lord and demonstrates that love by serving. She teaches classes to our residents weekly and takes time to develop personal relationships with them and their children.

Anita Renfroe Flat-Out Funny Tour

Anita Renfroe once again had the crowd laughing all evening with her unique brand of estrogen flavored musical comedy.

Through this event, we were able to share our story with community members; which is essential to helping us continue to serve those in need.

Shelter Products Artisans
sold candles and lotions during the show.
Shelter Products are 100% handmade lotions and candles made by our Transitional Shelter residents. Through this program, homeless and low-income women gain much needed training, social support, education, and work experience to help them build a better life for themselves and their families.
Thank you to all who contributed to their success!

Special Thanks!

On September 8th, 5 students came to Contact Ministries and helped in our Basement Boutique and Food Pantry. And, we got two weekly volunteers from their group!

SPECIAL THANKS TO:

The Springfield Fire Youth Soccer Team

The soccer team held an underwear and PJ drive and donated them to Contact Ministries. They also brought cinch sacks with water bottles for each of our children in our Transitional Shelter.

They played a little soccer with our kids and supplied them with a great dinner from
Olive Garden.
We are very appreciative of the time and effort they put into bringing smiles to the faces of our children who call Contact Ministries home.

Help us Restock our Coat Racks!!

We have people walk through our doors who are out in the elements most of the day. Every year, Contact Ministries has been blessed by churches, organizations, businesses, small groups, and individuals doing coat drives and donating hats and gloves for those in need.
Donations that we receive are given out to the comm unity for free. During the winter season, we give out close to 250 pairs of gloves, 200 hats,
and over 350 coats
per month.
Please help us stock up on coats, hats, and gloves so people can stay warm this winter season.
For questions and information about coat drives, call us at
217-753-3939, Ext. 12 or email Stacy Coon at executiveassistant@
