NOVEMBER NEWSLETTER
As we enter into this month of November, we often find ourselves reflecting on all of the things we have to be thankful for. I encourage you to still find time to do that, but I also encourage you to find ways to share all of those things with others. Our young people will be looking at the Parable of the Talents this month, and finding ways that they can share their gifts with others, I encourage you as families to set aside some time - at some point this month - to do the same.

SUNDAY SCHOOL Information
Sunday School is quickly falling into the school year routine and it has been awesome. Prince of Peace is truly blessed with great volunteers and young people!
October saw our PreK-K classes finishing up the story of Joseph and his coat before heading into the story of Baby Moses. Our 1st-3rd Graders looked at the story of Joseph and Pharaoh before looking at Moses and the plagues/crossing the Red Sea. Our 4th-5th graders continued following the Lectionary while our 6th graders looked deeper into the life of Martin Luther. We also had our 1st Family Worship Sunday where we focused on giving back to God what God has given us.
As we head into November all of our ages will be looking at the Parable of the Talents and finding ways to share our gifts with others. We will also start our Advent Explorations and Christmas program rehearsals.
POP Tots PlayGroup
Our October playgroup was SO MUCH FUN and we can't wait for all of our little friends to join us this month.
Our POP Tots Playgroup will be meeting on Sunday, November 5th. Join us in the Nursery from 10:00 - 10:30 as we gather for a time of fun and fellowship with our young people.
Use this opportunity to connect with other parents of young children and celebrate the little "turkeys" in our lives!
CEAP Toy Drive
November is HERE which means the CEAP Toy Drive is BACK! Visit the Christmas Tree in the Welcome Center (starting on November 19th) for gift ideas, or to drop off your gifts. A few notes about the CEAP Toy Drive:
* The ornaments on the tree are simply suggestions
* Please bring your NEW, UNWRAPPED gift and put it under the tree by Sunday, December 10th
* Spread the joy of Christmas to those who need a little love this Holiday season.
Family Worship Sunday: November 26th.
Here at Prince of Peace we value families being in Worship together. However, we also realize that sometimes having our young people in worship can be a distraction. On Family Worship Sundays we are able to meet in the middle.  Family Worship Sundays happen 3-4 times a year, and our young people are invited to the CLC after Kids Time, and we will learn the Gospel story in a way that applies to us as young people. We will then return to worship after the Sermon.
During our time together on November 26th we will be looking at the story of Sheep and Goats and looking at ways that we can reach out to help those in need.
Christmas Program Information
Christmas program information is now available.
* Speaking parts have been passed out for students to work on.
* Music CDs and Lyric Sheets will be available starting on November 12th
* Our PreK-K classes will have program rehearsal on November 19th
* Rehearsal Schedule is as follows
   - Saturday, December 2: Rehearsal @ 9:30
   - Sunday, December 3: 1st-6th rehearsal during Sunday School
   - Saturday, December 9: Full Dress Rehearsal @ 9:30
          SPECIAL NOTE: Speaking Parts should be memorized!!!!!
   - Sunday, December 10: Christmas Program @ 9:30

Church Wide Announcements

* Join us for our Annual Thanksgiving Eve Worship. We will gather for worship at 6:30. Following worship we will make 1000 Sandwiches for 363 and then join in fellowship as we start our Thanksgiving celebrations by having PIE!
* If you are pregnant, or have recently had a child and this would be your first child baptized at Prince of Peace, please plan to attend our Baptism Class on Sunday, November 12th. We will meet in the office at 10 am
