Today we're going to talk about "playing your position". On a football team the glamour position is quarterback. But not everyone can be the quarterback. In fact, only one person at a time can be quarterback. But the quarterback cannot get anything done without the offensive line and all the other players using their special skills at their positions. Every player is essential to the success of the team. If one person decides that they aren't going to really try, because, after all, they are not the quarterback, then the whole team will suffer. These ideas remind us of something Paul wrote to the church in Corinth.

Thank you for being there for me in every imaginable way during Tom's brief illness and passing. Many visitors to Tom's service made comments about how loving our church family is - and how the love, compassion and support shown radiates our faith and love of the Lord. In this time of sadness, Slash witnessed to so many. Thank you all for your encouragement, prayers and food. Our family is truly blessed to be part of this wonderful family of Christ. We want to extend to you our deepest gratitude for the love and support your gave our mom, Carolyn Putnam, and our stepdad, Tom, during the short course of his illness, and in his passing. During that sorrowful time period, you all daily brought light, hope and peace to our mom in so many ways - hospital visits, phone calls and text messages, social media posts, prayers...the list goes on and on. We are truly blessed to call so many of you friends and our mom is truly blessed to have you as her church family. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Women's Prayer Group and Bible Study

Women's Prayer Group and Bible Study will meet in the Conference Room on Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m. Join us for prayer, devotionals, bible study, visiting the homebound and even going out to lunch.
