Florida K-12 teachers with projects that strengthen students' reading, writing, math, nutrition and science skills while educating them about the source of their food, fiber and fuel are in luck.
Florida Agriculture in the Classroom and other organizations are offering grant opportunities to fund these projects.
FAITC Teacher Grants

Eligible projects for Florida Agriculture in the Classroom's Teacher Grants include classroom and schoolyard gardens, animal science projects such as embryology and more.

Dairy Council of Florida for Youth Wellness

Fuel Up to Play 60 is a free, in-school Nutrition and Physical Activity program, sponsored by the Dairy Council of Florida and the NFL. It's a youth led program to make sustainable change to health and wellness in their school and community around them. Applications are now open to apply for up to $4,000 for funding for Fuel Up to Play 60 related activities.
The deadline for applications is November 1st.
