2.} CITY INFORMATION: Has advise that CORP OF ENGINEERS will be at 2800 Horseshoe Dr, Naples, Monday from 8am-5PM giving out TARPS.

MAIN POST OFFICE: If you have a PO BOX AT THE MAIN POST OFFICE- staff will retrieve your mail between 10AM-3PM. (Building damaged) Use satellite PO locations at Keep In Touch, Shops of Marco & Sunshine Booksellers, S Collier.
4. ROTTED SMELL IN MORNING: Coming from rotting mangrove vegetation NOT city issues!!

BUSINESSES DESTROYED: The only business I believe that may not reopen-and have to be rebuilt (if possible) is the DOPHIN TIKI, Anglers Cove.

Additionally, between 9:00 AM and 2:00 PM Mon-Fri individuals wanting to request assistance but without access to phone or email can go to the Administrative Offices of the Wesley United Methodist Church, 350 S. Barfield Drive, Marco Island.
When providing your information please be sure to provide name, address where assistance is required, and individual to contact along with phone number.
Prior to assistance property owner/resident will be required to agree to and sign a liability waiver

1.) There have been no verified cases of looting on Marco Island. We have been dispatched on suspicious person or similar calls. After Officers have responded and investigated the situations are found to be benign: a neighbor checking a generator at night with a flashlight or a friend dropping off a car for example.
2. There was a shooting incident 3 days ago, suspect in custody & no injuries.

Many questions regarding the odor on Marco Island - There is more than one source of the odor: decaying vegetation, mud, & other organic sources.
Per the Marco Island Water Utility Dept., the Collier County Water Conservation Order does not apply to the island.
Remember to treat dark and/or intersections without stop signs or traffic lights as four-way stops.
Residents are urged to use caution when hiring a contractor to perform work.

I VISITED LOTS OF HOMES TODAY AND TOOK LOTS OF PHOTS, HOWEVER THE CELL SERVICE WAS TO WEAK OR NON-EXISTED TO SEND THE PHOTO. I WILL GET TO THOSE WHO REQUESTED OVER NEXT FEW DAYS. OF ALL THE HOMES I VISITED THE ONLY MAJOR DAMAGE WAS POOL ENCLOSURES --
THERE ARE HOMES WITH SEVERE ROOF DAMAGE BUT NOT MANY. THE OLD MARCO EAGLE BUILDING--NOW MONTESSORI SCHOOL LOST THEIR ROOF.

BOIL WATER NOTICE IS STILL IN AFFECT!!!! The City of Marco Island experienced a system wide water pressure loss as a result of the hurricane. All City of Marco Island water customers are hereby notified to boil water prior to consumption until further notice. Citizens should keep the following in mind post storm: there will be downed power lines, flooding and debris in the roadway - use extreme caution. LCEC reports at least 2000 homes or businesses have lost power. Marco Island residents should not expect to return to the island immediately, as damage assessment crews will be conducting post storm inspections of bridges, roadways and other infrastructure. The City will endeavor to keep any island re-entry restrictions to a minimum time period; however the safety of the Island's residents is paramount.
