VOLUNTEERING
Calling all ICS Parents: Online Sign-Ups for Volunteer Opportunities Now Available!
Please sign up on the Volunteer Opportunity Interest List. You will first need to register for an ICS PTSA account if you do not already have one and then log-on to your account. This can be done on the ICS PTSA Website

Please sign up for no more than three areas. A list of ICS Committees and their descriptions can also be found there. Returning parents: please complete the interest list even if you did so last fall; we create new volunteer lists each year with current information and preferences.

Please remember that, as an ICS family, you have committed to 30 hours of volunteer time per year. All families, especially those new to ICS, should be sure to review our Volunteering RequirementsThis document will provide you with some background information and answer many common questions about volunteering.

The Volunteer Opportunity list will close on Friday, September 29th, and, after that, you will need to contact the committee chairs directly to volunteer. Please get an early start on your volunteer hours, as it is very frustrating to be "short" on hours at the end of the school year. Have fun volunteering and getting to know what ICS is all about! If you have any questions, please contact Julie Kotler  Volunteer Coordinator.

Volunteers Need to Serve Pizza at Club Day
We  need approximately 20 volunteers to distribute pizza for ICS Club Day this coming Wednesday, September 20th. Volunteers must arrive at school by 10:15am to help get the pizza to the various classrooms, monitor pizza distribution, and assist with light clean-up. Volunteers must have current LWSD volunteer approval.  If you would like to help, please email Julie Kotler, ICS Volunteer Coordinator.

Lunchroom Volunteer Coordinator Needed
Volunteer needed to manage the ICS Lunchroom schedule and  volunteers to make sure the lunchroom is fully staffed.  Please contact  Amy Iracheta  if you are interested or have any questions .

ICS Ski Bus Will Be Back!
The ICS Ski Bus and Snowboard Club will be heading up to the mountain  again  this winter!  We will be repeating our great experience at Stevens Pass.

Key things to note:
  • The dates will be:  January 3, 10, 17, 31 and February 7, 14.
  • No ski bus January 24 for finals week.
  • The bus will leave ICS promptly at 12:30 and return at approximately 8:30pm.
  • The bus cost for this year will be $200 per student for all six weeks.
We will need parent volunteers to chaperone the bus.  You do not need to be a skier/snowboarder to chaperone.  sign-up  form will be published in advance, and you can earn 8 hours of volunteer time per trip.

Lessons will be available for all levels of student skiers and snowboarders - beginner through advanced.  Costs for lessons and/or lift passes will be paid directly to Stevens.  More details to follow.

We will also be having an Info Night in late October or early November to provide more information, answer questions, and collect paperwork/payments.  In the meantime, please direct any questions to [email protected].
