This wine combines the the elegance of Champagne and its gentle yeasty notes on the nose and fine bubbles with bright flavors of red berries to create a flavor and textural experience. We're happy to be able to pour this for you at today's tasting.

Greetings from Burlington Wine Shop,
Today's tasting showcases the importance of blending in the winemaking process. Every wine has a blending component. If there aren't different grape varieties there are grapes from different vineyards, and altitudes and soil types, or finished wines blended from different barrels, etc. This is all done in an effort to take strengths from the different parts to make the whole that much better and is part of the art of winemaking. We look forward to seeing you this afternoon to share this exciting lineup. |

We'll begin today's tasting with Essay Chenin Blanc ($9.99), a South African Chenin Blanc with Viognier added for floral aromas and Roussanne for body, followed by Bourgeois Diaz Brut Rosé, (Reg. $44.99, Sale $39.99), a beautiful rosé Champagne made from Pinot Meunier, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay with bright red berry fruits complimenting the traditional champagne flavor profile. From there we move to Lyeth Fleur de Lyeth (Reg. $12.99, Sale $11.99), a Bordeaux style blend based on Cabernet with ripe red fruit flavors and smoky undertones, followed by Calmel & Joseph Saint Chinian (Reg. $19.99, Sale $16.99), a beautiful Langeudoc blend of Syrah, Grenache and Carignan with soft, mature tannins framing dark berry fruits with rustic undertones, and we'll finish things off with Hullabloo Zinfandel (Reg. $17.99, Sale $14.99), a surprisingly concise Zinfandel the blends grapes from three different Lodi vineyards to create a more reserved take on the big Zins you might be used to.
