There's Something for Everyone at SMM!

It seems like parish life ramps up when September rolls around, and this year is no different. In addition, our Diocese of Cleveland will be celebrating the installation of Bishop Nelson Perez as the 11th Bishop of Cleveland. We join in prayer for him, and with him, as our diocese begins the next stage of growth on our faith journey. Our psalmist proclaims this weekend:

My soul is thirsting for you, O Lord my God.

Come to St. Mary Magdalene to quench this thirst and discover anew how God works wonders in our lives!

Two weeks of the month, children from grades K through 8 attend grade level, classroom sessions. All sessions are scheduled for 9:15am to 10:45am. Click here for a schedule of Families in Faith.

Sunday, 9/10 - CLOW resumes
Children's Liturgy of the Word (CLOW) is for all children in grades K-5, and provides an opportunity to experience prayer and grow in their relationship with Jesus, in an environment conducive to their age. During the 11:00am mass, children are dismissed to Room 104, to hear the Sunday readings adapted for children. The children are then guided in a reflection designed to get at the "heart" of the readings. The children also participate in the prayers of the faithful and the creed. No registration is required. If children would like to participate in CLOW, they just come forward when the priest calls them.  Parents are welcome to be a guest and observe CLOW at any time.  If you would like to volunteer for Children's Liturgy of the Word or if you have any questions, please feel free to contact Mary Hrich  (440-854-6015).

Collection for those affected by Hurricane Harvey
"As we witness the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey and the subsequent flooding, the people in Texas and beyond need our support in the days, weeks and months to come," said Bishop Daniel Thomas, Apostolic Administrator of the Diocese of Cleveland.
"This is a time when Catholics, and all people of faith, need to come together in prayer and action for those whose lives, families and homes are being affected," Bishop Thomas said. "I encourage all people to join the larger community to help those whose essential needs are compromised. By working through reputable charitable organizations, we can fulfill the mission of all human persons to help one another in times of need."
We will take a second collection at all the Masses at St. Mary Magdalene next weekend (September 9-10) to assist victims of Hurricane Harvey.
