Praise God with us as we continue to experience His many blessings as we strive to serve Him and share His love with the community of Kamonkoli, Uganda.   It is a privilege to be a part of His work. We've been showing you our new dining and meeting hall and are thrilled to finally have the furnishings here.   The children are so excited. 
We hope to have all of the kitchen equipment and
 
supplies in place soon.

Katherine has been on the field for more than 20 years and Melanie joined her almost 6 years ago. We are thrilled to have Laura Jones and Elizabeth Costley joining them. Laura, has a master's degree in Elementary Education as well as teaching and short-term missions experience in various countries. She served with HUM with an Orphan's Heart team in 2012 and returned as an intern in 2016. 
Laura arrived in July and wasted no time connecting with the kids.  They love her already!
 
Elizabeth joins us after completing a degree in Bible and International Studies as well as a minor in Education at Moody Bible Institute. She brings work experience at camps, with international college students and short-term missions as well. She has a great love for math. Elizabeth also completed an internship with HUM in 2016.

Like Katherine and Melanie, these young women have felt a call to missions from childhood and have focused their young lives on preparing themselves for this service. Their work efforts will be primarily focused at our Genesis school, developing a Jump Start program for struggling transfer students as well as helping national teachers integrate quality curriculum and expand their instruction skills to provide an exceptional learning environment for all for our students.   Most importantly, they will share the love of Jesus and teach Biblical principals in various settings. We welcome Laura and Elizabeth on board and ask that you keep them in your prayers during this transition.  
 
We are grateful to God that he has provided appropriate temporary housing for Melanie and our 2 new missionaries. However, we continue to need funds to provide permanent housing for these 3 committed young ladies on our secure property, where they can also connect with the children and the community in a meaningful way. We ask that you prayerfully consider a special gift to help us meet this goal by the end of the year so that we can begin construction on their home early next year.

We invite our Colorado friends to join us for this experiential event to see a bit of what life in the coummuity of Kamonkoli is like. See the culture, the market, a home, clothing and more and sample our common food   See our ministry including the school, clinic, worship and more. David, Katherine's first child in her home will share his story too. All ages welcome. This is also a perfect way to introduce other familis to the ministry.
 
Though we can't bring it all, we hope to show a bit of this to those of you in other parts of the country as well.
