We have all been concerned about the impacts of Hurricane Harvey on Texas. We have heard of multiple drives for supplies. The following is a statement by the Florida Division of Emergency Management.
We're beginning to get in some reports of donation drives in Florida designed to assist Harvey survivors. Texas has yet to identify any needs and at this point has no ability to deal with any donations they receive, no matter how well-intentioned. Please help get the word out to your communities and local elected officials that right now the best way to assist is through cash donations to a recognized charity.

Remember that help is going to be needed in the months and year ahead as these communities rebuild.

How Long Have You Been a Chamber Member and Why Did You Join?
I joined the chamber years ago and dropped out for a few years before joining again a year ago. The main reason we joined is to network with the area's top business owners and executives. My cumulative years as a chamber member are over 15 years.
