Hiring a Storm Recovery Contractor

Be diligent when hiring a contractor. Price is only one factor when selecting a company to do the work. Be sure to get a written estimate and all proper documents. Remember that any company worth doing business with will have a contract they use, and homeowners’ should insist on a written contract. Your insurance company will require it. For a complete list of questions to ask when hiring a contractor click here . DO NOT PAY CASH UPFRONT .* You should never pay any money upfront when you sign the contract, unless work is starting. Work starting is defined as engineers or architect doing the preliminary walkthrough for the site design or materials being delivered, anything that costs the contractor money. Texas Home Improvement has teamed up with America's Choice Windows and Floor & Decor to gather donations for families that have suffered due to this devastating storm. We are working directly with local charities to collect essential items to be distributed to those in need in the coming days. America's Choice Windows has opened their 10,000 square foot facility to collect donations and would greatly appreciate any volunteers to help receive, sort, and aid in distributions locally.  Our Dallas/Ft. Worth listeners can donate items at any of the 6 Floor & Decor area locations, as well as Grove's Electric in Farmers Branch.
