YES Feedback Workshop:

This Workshop is being held to help refine the YES program in its developmental stage. Your attendance and feedback will be paramount in helping us to develop the best YES classes and to insure everyone is receiving beneficial tools & techniques. Be the first to experience YES! Thank you!
$35 per person
Class Format:
- 30 minutes: Winden Rowe, licensed therapist specializing in Trauma, Substance use and addiction will speak about the brain(mind)/ body connection and how movement, breathing and visualization is necessary to relieve emotional pain.
-
75-90 minutes: A YES Class with Christine Shaw filled with relaxation, breathing, meditation, positive self care techniques and more.

15-20 minutes: Class fills out a 10 Question Feedback Questionnaire so we may refine and improve on the classes.
YES classes will be held exclusively at Liberty Yoga beginning October 11.
Wednesdays 4-5:15pm and Saturdays 11:45-1pm
Classes are for a variety of emotional needs and for all levels:
Energizing, Calming, Heart Opening, Relaxing, Focus on Breathing

Peachy Green Salad
with Erin Detwiler 2 Ripe Peaches, cut in slices 2 cups green beans
1/4 cup green onion, diced 1 large garlic clove, minced
2 cups red cabbage, chopped 2 cups baby spinach 1 bunch fresh basil, chopped Feta Cheese Your favorite vinaigrette dressing
Toss the green beans, onion, and garlic together with some vinaigrette dressing. Roast for 10 - 15 minutes. Cool. Slice green beans lengthwise. Toss the roasted veggies with the cabbage, spinach, and basil. Top with peaches and feta. YUMMY.

Pose of the Month
Urdhva Hastasana
Extended Mountain Pose
Maintain mountain pose alignment and raise arms forward and overhead. If the shoulders lack range of motion, extending the arms overhead can be challenging. Hold the front ribs in and extend at the hip crease. Keep the upper back relaxed, moving the arms from the mid back. If the arms do not extend fully overhead, that's okay, bend elbows or allow arms to move as high as they can without pain and without losing mountain pose alignment.

October 8 - Introduction to Functional Movement
Learn the basics of functional movement, what each class at Liberty Yoga is specifically designed to do, and how to apply the principles of functional movement to make your yoga more effective.
Functional Movement classes with Erin will be held most Sundays from 9:30 - 11:30 am. See the online schedule and sign up in advance.

Finding peace of mind in our busy lives is challenging. Mediation is one way to find peace of mind.
Here's How it works:
The group will gather the third Tuesday of each month to learn the meditations from the book. Discussion and practice will help you to ease your way into a regular mediation practice this year with the support of the group, the book and guidance from Ellen and Heather.
