Great First Week of School!
September 1, 2017
Dear Parents,
We had a wonderful opening to the new school year! I have met many people who have been so welcoming. I am very happy to be part of the community here at St. Joseph's School.
I would like to say thank you to the following people who helped to make this a great opening week for all involved. We are so grateful!
- Thank you to Fr. O'Neill for coordinating the construction of the new roof, the sidewalk out front and the new mulch for the playground.
- Thank you to the HSA for sponsoring the Ice Cream Social this year! It was a fun event enjoyed by all.
- Thank you to Mike. Joe & Sandy for coordinating the school clean up efforts all summer. They did a great job!
- Thank you to the Conlon and the Hallock families for their donations to the Nurse's office. If you care to send donations, the Nurse can always use baby wipes, tissues, Lysol wipes and goldfish crackers.
- Thank you to all the parent volunteers who continue to contribute and are so important to our school.

Tuesday, September 5th - Administrator & Teacher Convocation
School is not in session.
School is in session. All students should be in complete uniform.
Home School Association Meeting- 7:00 P.M. - School Library
Please join us!
Thursday, September 7th
Meet the Teachers 7:00 p.m. at St. Joseph's Church
The Paul Effman Band Teacher will be here for an assembly to introduce the program.
Additional information will be sent home with the students.
Friday, September 8th
Please join us for Mass at 8:45 a.m.
The students attend the 8:45 a.m. Mass on Fridays, every week.
Sunday, September 17th - Parish Picnic
125th Anniversary of St. Joseph Parish
Please join the Parish in celebrating this wonderful event.
Tuesday, September 26th -SJS Golf Outing
Our first major fundraiser of the year is coming!
Let us make it a success! Golfers and sponsors are needed.
The event will take place at the Rock Ridge Country Club in Newtown, CT.
