HURRICANE HARVEY RELIEF EFFORTS 

Our hearts go out to the victims of Hurricane Harvey. The Cove community is committed to showing them we care. Please join us in our efforts as we collect Coins for Kids. 

Starting on Tuesday, September 5, please send in your pennies, nickels, dimes and quarters. We will be collecting change throughout September. Cove will be sending our collection to a vetted charity focused on students and schools in the affected areas and chosen by our student council. 

We will also be sending notes and drawings made by our students to a school in Houston at an appropriate time.

Parents and guardians are encouraged to sign their students up for one or more of our amazing after school activities. There are activities for all interests, including mathematics, robotics, homework help, sports, music and so much more. PARENT/GUARDIAN NIGHT

Join us on Parent/Guardian Night for a presentation starting at 6:30 PM and a visit to classrooms with teachers. Learn about your student's schedule, classroom procedures, homework policies, curriculum, technology and more. TEAM FITNESS FUN NIGHT

All High School students are invited to participate in this team building and social event. ELEM AND JH HALLOWEEN CARNIVAL
Friday, October 20 

All Elementary and Junior High students are invited to a Halloween costume and dance party from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM at The Cove School. Students can enjoy a pizza dinner, DJ dancing, a photo booth, carnival games, a quiet space and game prizes. Please fill out the permission slip attached to the flyer and return to the front desk by October 15.

CHOICES EVENT

All parents and guardians are invited to this  Parent Education Series event from 6 PM to 9 PM at Glenbrook North High School in Northbrook. Choices is a regional post-secondary planning night for students with learning differences/disabilities/special needs who are college bound.  For more information, click here or contact  Mrs. Altshul at [email protected]. 

HIGH SCHOOL HALLOWEEN DANCE PARTY

HALLOWEEN ACTIVITIES 
Tuesday, October 31 

High School students will be treated to bagels and juice compliments of the Parent Association and are encouraged to dress in school appropriate costumes. 
Elementary and Junior High students will take part in our annual Halloween parade, followed by festive activities in their classrooms. students are encouraged to bring costumes to school they can change into after lunch. Please bring school appropriate costumes (no masks, weapons-related items or apparel, etc.).

Submit your own personal ad, wish or greeting to your student in the Cove Directory, a resource Cove families use all year long. This year we are ramping up our efforts to collect  Box Tops for Education, with a goal to earn $1000! Check out the Cove School Virtual Backpack for information about participating products ( click here), the new mobile app ( click here), and for collection sheets (optional to use). You can submit your  Box  Tops any time that you want, but our first BIG deadline is  October 15, 2017.
