We will have an ingathering and mingling of waters. Please bring water connected with your summer experiences. We will also have symbolic water available. Religious education classes will not meet. Childcare for our youngest children is available in Room 108.

Reverend Mary Ann Macklin will return as we join in an immersive celebration of our intergenerational community through story, reflection, exploration, music, and our water communion ritual. Please bring water representing the essence of your summer's experience. Our adult Choir directed by Susan Swaney, our Children's Choir, directed by Jill Courtney, and a percussion ensemble led by Colleen Haas, and the UU Boomwhackers will all share gifts of music.

This Week in Religious Education
Our children and youth are joining us for the service today. Childcare for our youngest children is available in room 108. Room 106 is available for parents who would like to livestream the service with their babies or toddlers. Youth will meet today at the Splash of the Sacred picnic and pool party (see below).

Greeter and Welcomer Training, Sunday, September 3, at 12:30 p.m.
Greeters are vital to making ours a welcoming church.
Newcomer Welcomers orient first-time visitors, while Greeters hold doors, distribute orders of service, and collect the offering.
It's a great way to meet people, and you set your own schedule.

New to Unitarian Universalism? Come to the First Steps Class this Sunday!
Are you new to Unitarian Universalism? If so, then the First Steps class is for you! First Steps is a 40-minute class that provides a brief introduction to Unitarian Universalism and our congregation, at 10:35 a.m. or 12:35 p.m. in Room 112. Free childcare in Room 108. Exploring Unitarian Universalism Class - Sept 3 and 10
Are you interested in learning more about Unitarian Universalism and this congregation? Are you considering becoming a member of this church? Whether you are considering membership or are just curious, this class is for you. The Exploring UU Class will be held on
Sept 3 and 10 from
2-4 p.m. in the church library. Please plan to attend both
Sunday sessions, since different material will be covered in each session. Melinda Swenson and Jack King will facilitate this fun and informative class.

Women's Alliance Meets September 7th
The Women's Alliance meets the first
Thursday
of each month at
11:30 a.m.
in Fellowship Hall. The meeting begins with a brown bag lunch. Drinks
and dessert are provided by the hosts of the month. The program begins at
noon
, followed by a business meeting. Please enter through the court yard
doors.

Kids with Absent Parents (KAP) program
from Hope for Prisoners Invites Donations & Volunteers
Our Hope for Prisoners Task Force has initiated the Kids with Absent Parents (KAP) Program to help children in Monroe County whose parents are incarcerated. When parents are incarcerated, their children's lives are often disrupted by changes: Where they live and go to school, extra stress on the caretaker, fear, shame, and social exclusion. We are collecting items for this project through September 17.

Fellowship Dinner Signup Starts Now!
Would you like to get to know more people in our church community in a relaxed, intimate setting? In October the first Fellowship Dinners will take place. These are small monthly dinners held October through April in the homes of those belonging to the group or in other congenial locations.
