Born in Omaha, Nebraska on July 18, 1924, Henry (known as Hank to many) was a longtime active member of Christ Church and St. Michael's Church, Germantown, including service as warden and lay eucharistic minister. In the Diocese, he served on the Finance and Property Committee, and as Chairman on the Commission on Clergy Salaries and Pensions. He was also active on the Deanery level, a longtime Meals on Wheels volunteer, and a member and past president of the Philadelphia Church Club. After moving to Bucks County in 2007, he became a much-loved member of the Church of the Holy Nativity, Wrightstown, serving as a lector and greeter and was active in parish outreach ministries.
Henry was predeceased by his wife, the former Dorothy Shields, in 2009. He is survived by a daughter, three sons, twelve grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Sirvió allí como lector y en el comité de bienvenida, siendo un feligrés bien activo en los ministerios de alcance comunitario de la parroquia.
Su esposa, quien fuera Dorothy Shields, falleció antes, en el 2009. Le sobreviven su hija, tres hijos, doce nietos y seis bisnietos.
