Safe and Welcoming is the tagline you'll find below New Song's new logo. I think those words have a lot to say to all of us, especially children. New Song strives to be a place of welcome and safety to all people. We work to have a physically safe environment and also be a place where children (and adults) will feel safe emotionally. In other words, New Song hopes that children will feel special, unique and know they are loved as part of God's family-"Just the way you are," as Mr. Rogers sang.

We continually work to establish an atmosphere where children feel loved and respected. We must always be a place where they can open their minds and hearts without fear. In short, New Song attempts to be a place where God's unconditional love is the norm, not the exception.

My thanks to you and to our congregation for providing such a special place for children. Childhood can be awesome and wonderful but it is not without stress and worry, questions and doubts. Your interest and care, your smile and welcome is a gift you give children every week. And that is what makes New Song Church a very special place, indeed!
