August 4, 2017

An overview of last night's updates is below:

Permissions / Automations:
  • You can now set up Automations that will allow you to permission contacts based upon met conditions.

Calendar:
  • We've added the ability to set color preferences on the Calendar for Client Reviews, Marital Anniversaries and Birthdays:

  • When printing all day activities, they were spread across two pages, with the Subject, Date, Attendees and Contact(s) on the first page and the Type, Category, Location and Description on the second. They're on one page now, as one would expect.
  • If Workflow Task names contained an apostrophe, they were being cut off on Calendar tooltip. Task names with apostrophes are now being afforded the same courtesy as those without apostrophes.

Advanced Search:
  • We've added an option to send an email to individual contacts from their Actions menu on the Advanced Search page:

  • If one didn't have an Email Address and Phone Number for a Primary Contact entered, the contact for whom they are entered as a Primary Contact wouldn't be returned in search results for the Primary Contact. That's a bit confusing, but, bottom line, it's been resolved.
  • We've added a dropdown menu for Identification Type when searching for Identifications (DL, Green Card, etc.) on Advanced Search. This should definitely help with ID'ing IDs.
  • We've fixed Advanced Searches for "Account Types Equal to", as they previously included deleted accounts in search results. They don't now.
  • Spacing was off for the New Contact button on the Advanced Search page for some screen resolutions. This should no longer be the case.
  • You'll now see a dropdown menu for the Value field when running an Advanced Search for Date of Birth Reminders (whether they are enabled or disabled for a contact):

Contact Record:
  • You can now add email addresses that include the special characters "?" or "&" without receiving an error.
  • We've adjusted the Professional Contacts header in the Know Your Client section to simply read "Professional," as other professional information is stored in that area as well.
  • The ability to add a contact to an existing Seminar (rather than just a new one) when accessing Seminars from within a contact record is now available.
  • A dynamic refresh now occurs when adding/deleting an address/phone number that is to be replaced with an address/phone number shared from the Head of Household.
  • We've resolved an issue where in some cases you couldn't go into a Contact record's Opportunities section and link them to an existing Opportunity.
  • Along with the existing First and Last Name, we've added a contact's Status, Middle Name, Nickname, Suffix and picture in dropdown displays anywhere within Redtail where you can link a contact to something else. This is an effort to assist you with making sure you are selecting the correct contact to link.
  • Previously, unless you manually refreshed the page after adding spouse/family head/dependent, that same individual could be linked in another dependent relationship (at least until you left the page and came back, at which point it functioned as expected). Now it functions as expected in all cases.
  • When adding a Note to a contact when linking to an account, the dropdown menu now includes account type, product, status and company in addition to account number.

Manage Your Account:
  • We've updated the verbiage on the Password Change modal to ensure clarity.
  • When adding new Membership Types, they were appearing at the end of the list of Types rather than falling in their alphanumeric place. New additions now line up where they should.
  • We've resolved an issue where HTML was displaying in Notifications Emails for Notes/Descriptions.

Reporting:
  • Note drafts were, but are no longer, being included in the Last Note Report.
  • An Account's Status (i.e., Open, Closed, etc.) is now included in the full Beneficiary Report.
  • The Contacts by State report was including deleted addresses for contacts. It isn't anymore.
  • The Personal Profile Form was not printing the Address 2 line, where applicable. Now it is.
  • A Shared address was missing from the Personal Profile Form if it was run from the spouse's record, rather than the Head of Household's record. It will show up in either case now.
  • The Personal Profile Form, when run for a dependent, was pulling other dependents as children of the dependent. The form should now reflect the branches of one's family tree correctly.
  • The Address City, State and Zip are now wrapped on one line on the Personal Profile Form.
  • The Driver's License Issue Date is now displayed on the Personal Profile Form.
  • We've added a Contact's middle initial and status to the Unlinked Accounts Report to assist with manual linking of clients who have same first and last name.
  • We've made column spacing/formatting changes to the Workflow Checklist Report for easier reading.
  • The Workflow Checklist Report now includes Linked Contacts.
  • When viewing both Open and Completed Activities, the Activity Reports views in the CSV and PDF will now display the applicable status for each type of account.

Miscellaneous:
  • We've fixed an issue affecting some users who were unable to create Activities from messages in the Mobile Assistant and Copytalk areas.
  • Finally, we knocked out an issue where Enable/Disable selection on the Manage Integrations page was not sticking in all cases.

As always, you can keep up with ongoing updates to Redtail by checking our regularly updated Release Notes page here.

Hope you're having a great day!
