Summer Learning Day 2017
On July 13 th , UWNNS volunteers celebrated  National Summer Learning Day  at One World Children's Academy, a local day care center in Reno. From story times to hopscotch, volunteers made summer count for the Pre-K children by encouraging hands-on learning and imaginative play outside. Volunteers were associates from Umpqua Bank and Scheels, generously giving their time to inspire our young learners.

Welcoming New Board Member 
United Way of Northern Nevada and the Sierra (UWNNS) announced that Bryce Warner has joined its Board of Directors and is the chairman of the Annual Campaign Committee. Warner is the executive recruiter at The Applied Companies, and is responsible for developing partnerships with clients to understand their culture and hiring needs.  Warner graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno with a degree in finance and economics in May of 2015.
