Last week's survey results on the question of......
|
Do you think regularly trading-in print equipment for new is better than keeping older equipment that is carefully used and is maintained regularly?
|
- I guess it depends on the pressure you are under to get work out, if there is no pressure perhaps you don't need new machinery but if you are under pressure then you need the higher speed of new equipment in addition to your old machine.
- It depends whether the newer equipment offers any other advantages than the older in terms of speed, quality, colour gamut, etc. Printing equipment hasn't changed dramatically so there's nothing wrong with older printers if they still suit your current volume and market.
- There is no easy answer to that question, it all depends on the individual..
- Old machines can still produce great work but speed is usually the decider, if you need more speed then it would bebetter to upgrade I think.
- Silly question, its always better to have the latest equipment in order to be competitive. But I guess if you don't worry about competition and you have steady clients, then... maybe not.

A nurse was on duty in the Emergency Room when a young woman with purple hair styled into a punk rocker Mohawk, sporting a variety of tattoos, and wearing strange clothing, entered..... It was quickly determined that the patient had acute appendicitis, so she was scheduled for immediate surgery... When she was completely disrobed on the operating table, the staff noticed that her pubic hair had been dyed green and above it there was a tattoo that read .' Keep off the grass.'
Once the surgery was completed, the surgeon wrote a short note on the patient's dressing, which said 'Sorry . . . had to mow the lawn.'
