Truly "Friends For Life"
Today we saw some pretty special Friends For Life:
  • A local resident approached a first-year Rider at a stop light and asked if she was with the Bike Rally. After a short conversation about the Friends For Life Bike Rally and PWA, the local resident gave a nice donation.
  • A Rider stopped into a local bike store to have some mechanical issues fixed. The bike tech remembered the early years of the Bike Rally, and fixed the bike free of charge and wished him and the rest of the Bike Rally a safe journey.
  • A couple of Riders took it upon themselves to write special chalk messages on the road. It was the motivation and encouragement that was needed on a hot day!
Tomorrow the Bike Rally Village reaches its destination!
Welcome to Lancaster. You've trained for months, you've fundraised like superstars, and now you are in reach of the Ontario/Québec border - just over 100 km away from Montréal.

Have a look at some of today's photos!

Throughout this entire week, and in the months leading up to tomorrow's arrival into Montréal, with your hard work we have proven once again that the Friends For Life Bike Rally is more than just a bike ride - it's a Village! It's a village of people who care and support one another, encourage and motivate one another and where members help other members reach our destination and achieve our goals, and not just during this past week, but always. You have all demonstrated that it truly does take a Village.

Thank you for all your hard work, for your commitment, and for your dedication in helping to make a difference in someone's life, and in support PWA's Friends For Life Bike Rally and the Toronto People With AIDS Foundation.
Tips for Tomorrow
  • Wear your Official Bike Rally Jersey and T-shirt and your 2017 Bike Rally pin.
  • We head into Montréal riding mostly along bike paths on the way into the city. It's a time to enjoy the beautiful scenery.
  • Watch for our Road Support friends for direction to our rendezvous location at Rafting Montreal Parkette (in Parc de L'Aqueduc).
  • Plan to arrive at the rendezvous location before 2:00 p.m.
  • The Bike Rally Village will ride into the heart of Montreal together in single file. Take your time and enjoy the moment.
  • It's an emotional end to a wonderful ride as we arrive in Montréal's Place Émilie Gamelin. We arrive to cheers and tears and pride - congratulations, you did it!
  • After the arrival ceremonies, make your way to the bike/bin exchange just north Place Émilie Gamelin (between 5:00 and 6:15 p.m.)
  • After you check into your accommodations, have a warm shower and dinner, it's time to celebrate your incredible accomplishment! Join us on the rooftop at Club Unity at 1171 Ste-Catherine Ouest, from 9:00 to 11:00 p.m.
