Worship with Us this Week!
Join us this Sunday morning for our Traditional Worship at 9:30am and/or Informal Worship at 11am when our scriptures are Genesis 32:22-31 and Psalm 17:1-7, 15 with a sermon entitled Struggles of the Spirit. Our wrestlings with God happen at times of transitions and at other times - as they did for Jacob in the Genesis passage. How do we share these experiences with others - can people see our wounds and our healing in the ways we walk/talk - like Jacob?

Our Mission Moment will be shared by our Youth Mission Trippers just back from Appalachian South Folklife Center in Pipestem, West Virginia.

Join us in welcoming Barry Luedloff, guest organist.

We will celebrate the sacrament of communion at our open table. All are welcome!

It's Give-a-Meal Sunday, so remember to bring non-perishable goods

AWOL and Parkway Sustainability Seekers Joint Event
Friday, August 18| time TBA
We will carpool from church to see
An Inconvenient Sequel-Truth to Power at Plaza Frontenac. The movie should provide much to discuss over ice cream afterwards. Please RSVP to either Carmen at [email protected], 314-330-0813 or Polly Winkelmann at [email protected], 314-503-4805, so we know how many to expect.
It has been 11 years since former Vice President Al Gore sounded the alarm about climate change with the film,
An Inconvenient Truth.
An Inconvenient Sequel-Truth to Power focuses on confronting climate change as the fundamental political, economic and moral issue of this century. Although much of what was discussed in the earlier film has or is currently enfolding, the sequel strikes an optimistic vein as it portrays the current economic momentum of wind and solar energy.
