You'll be able to purchase these Web Certificates, print them from your computer, and use them immediately at your favorite Kansas City Originals Restaurant (or you can give them as a gift!). A copy of the certificate will also be emailed to you.

Featured Restaurant
One of the KC Originals most exciting members is the Culinary Arts program in the Shawnee Mission School District, the Broadmoor Bistro, which is currently in the midst of tremendous growth and development and we are thrilled to give you a tasty preview. With a brand new location in a building built just for innovative education programs like theirs, Broadmoor Bistro is now located at the Center for Academic Achievement at 8200 West 71st St. Overland Park, KS, 66204.
The Bistro program was very proud of
their old space on 81st Street, but this state of the art facility of over 11,000 square feet showcases the school district's commitment to fostering this highly successful career education program which prepares junior and senior high school students for further culinary education and enables them to step directly into the job market with skills leaned not only in the classroom, kitchens and bakery, but direct experience operating restaurant and bakery programs.
We spoke with Chef Bob Brassard, the founder and Culinary Education Director of the program as well Chef Justin Hoffman, a fellow instructor and Director of the Restaurant Management program. Needless to say, both of them are over the moon with excitement about the opportunities the new space affords them to nurture the dreams of future chefs, bakers and culinary entrepreneurs with the best resources available. Walking through the new space which is still in move-in and construction mode; it's clear that tremendous thought and creativity went into design and the ama
zing potential is clear.

Candied Pecans, Goat Cheese, Cara-Cara Orange Vinaigrette
For the Beets
1 bunch medium beets (about 3)
1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
For the Salad
4-6 ounces mixed greens (I like a blend of frisée, radicchio and mesclun)
3 ounces goat cheese
1/2 cup candied pecan halves
1 Orange cut into supreme
For the Vinaigrette
2 tablespoons Mayo

The Kansas City Original Gift Card
A
single gift card accepted at all of the Kansas City Originals restaurants. The gift card can be purchased
online
and over the phone (877-229-7299) and you choose the amount of your card (between $25 and $1000). The card can be used multiple times for your own dining, or as a gift. Your gift cards will be mailed via USPS within two (2) business days of receipt of payment.
