The 2017 spring bear is going to go down as a wild one !!! Every year can be a different but this year, we are seeing some crazy things. A certain famous TV personality was washing her coffee cup off in the lake when she looked up and was startled by a big bear sitting in the camp boat looking at her just feet away. It was a foot race back to camp and fortunately, she is still here to film many more episodes. The bruin, which paced the camp back and forth for several minutes, was not quite so fortunate. We had another one of our guide crews chased back to the Beaver while setting up boats by a MONSTER bear. One of the old guides said it was the biggest bear he had ever seen in his 65 years in the North. Last night, one hunter had eight bears on his bait before he took the largest one. So far we have 10 bears down and some real beauties including a blonde. We are adding them up but it looks like 2017 is going to be a Grand Slam season. In the meantime, enjoy these photos of Joe Thomas as he joined us for his fourth film shoot and took a beauty that he figures will go over 20" plus some monster pike with guide Robert Merasty. It is the best, and most unique, 2 for 1 trophy bear hunt in Canada. 2017 Hunts We still have a few caribou hunts available, Sept. 16-23 and 23-30, and 3 moose hunts, Sept. 16-23 and Sept. 30-Oct. 7. Give us a call and you can still experience some of the most incredible fly-in trophy hunting in Northern Canada. 2018 Hunts Now is the time to confirm your 2018 hunts with CSAH.
