North Dakota to Host International Guests at Annual Big Iron IVP

North Dakota will host a large delegation of visitors from around the world Sept. 11-14 at the eleventh annual Big Iron International Visitors Program (IVP).  The Big Iron IVP is the international portion of the Big Iron Farm Show designed to assist the state's agribusinesses in expanding their international sales.  Big Iron IVP international guests will participate in dealership tours, agriculture education sessions, buyer-seller receptions and other events.  If you would like a chance to meet with international visitors during the Big Iron IVP, please contact the NDTO today!

India's Hierarchical Business Structure
 
India's newly elected president, Ram Nath Kovind, is from the Dalit caste, also known as "the untouchables" within the Indian caste system. While India has taken steps to diminish the caste system's effect on society, including outlawing caste discrimination in 1950, it hasn't disappeared yet. The election of an "untouchable" as president, although said to be a political move by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to capture the Dalit vote, both defies and shows how pervasive this hierarchical system still is.
