Learn about the human impact on water quality with this hands-on workshop. You'll get certified to borrow the Enviroscape Watershed Model - an interactive learning tool for your classroom. 

Perfect for 3rd grade-high school. Registration opens in September!

High school and college students are needed for set up, tear down, and staff our annual Green Fair. A great group volunteer opportunity. We are happy to sign off on hours for honors, key club, or scholarship requirements. Call us for details.

Inspire your students to take action against plastic pollution with this exhibit's massive sculptures of aquatic animals - made entirely out of marine debris.   A must-see that highlights the human impact on our aquatic ecosystems.

Plan ahead for Energy Awareness month! We've got a few ideas to help you highlight energy in your classroom this October.

Kick it off with Walk to School Day Oct 4th!

Connect your sustainability workday to the Green Apple Day of Service to get connected to assistance, volunteers and small matching funds. Registration open now for the 2017-2018 school year.

The POPS Summit brings together students taking action to reduce plastic waste in their communities. They learn about current research and collaborate with peers and mentors to get inspired to take their efforts to the next level. 

Teams of 2-4  students ages 11-18 may apply. Summit takes place February 9-11, 2018. More details on applying here.

Do you have students interested in film making? Submit a short film on a pressing environmental issue for the chance to be featured in the 2018 One Earth Film Fest and a cash prize. A great STEAM opportunity.
April 2018

Start planning now for the annual Sustainable Design Challenge! It's a great STEAM project for your high school students. An opportunity to get creative, learn about environmental design, and explore career options!

5-gal. containers of reblended paint available at Woodridge Greene Valley Wastewater Facility. Open to any DuPage County resident, non-profit, or business. Pick up Mon-Fri 8am-2pm on a first come, first serve basis. Limit 3 containers.
Temporary Collection: Used Gift Cards

The Eco-Club at York High School in Elmhurst wants your used gift cards. Cards can be donated to SCARCE. They will be upcycled into guitar picks for students at York.

We are open for browsing Mon-Fri 9am-4:30pm and the 2nd/4th Saturdays of each month, outside of major holiday weekends. Check our online calendar for special hours and closures. 

Note: We will NOT be open late on Tuesdays.
