Nativity Choir - rehearses on Wednesdays at 7pm, starting THIS WEDNESDAY, Sept. 6th. This choir sings each week at the 11am worship service.

Youth Choir - rehearses on Sundays at 4:30pm, beginning Sept. 17th.

Young Youth Choir - rehearses on the Sundays in which Young Youth is being held. The first rehearsal for this group is Sept. 24th.

Campfire Choir - will now rehearse on the Sunday mornings when the choir will sing. The four Sundays this fall for Campfire Choir are: 9/24, 10/22, 11/26, 12/10.

Handbell Choir - rehearses on the two Tuesday evenings that fall before the choir rings in worship. Handbell Choir will play on the third Sunday of the month, beginning in October. The first rehearsal is Oct. 3rd at 7pm.

Did you know that Nativity has an electronic giving option?

We contract with Vanco, an e-giving company endorsed by the ELCA, to provide an easy option for your offering.

Vanco allows you to set up auto-payments, so you never have to worry about sending in your offering when you're on vacation or forgetting your checkbook.

Auto-payments also help us keep our ministries running steadily here at Nativity.

Like putting something in the offering plate? Good news!   We now have e-giving cards in the pew racks, so that you can indicate your offering physically during worship!

To sign up for e-giving, click  here.  If you'd like to learn more about e-giving, please email our Financial Secretary,  Carrie Dahlberg,
here.

 Click  for Nativity's
Hurricane Harvey

Many of us are asking "What can I do?" in response to Hurricane Harvey and the disaster it continues to bring to Texas and Louisiana.  Currently, we are hearing that in addition to prayers, monetary donations are more helpful than donations in kind, as resources can then be sent directly where they are most needed. Lutheran Disaster Response is the ELCA's disaster relief organization, and they will be assisting with recovery over the coming weeks and months. 100% of donations received by LDR go towards relief.  If you would like to give towards this relief effort through LDR, please click here

Called by God and the
Evangelical Lutheran Church in America

Jesse Michael Canniff-Kuhn
will be ordained to the Ministry of Word and Sacrament on Monday,
September 4, 2017, 2:00 p.m.
at the Lakeside Cross at Lutheridge.

The address is 2511 Hendersonville Road in Arden, NC 28704.  If the weather is uncooperative we will relocate to the Lutheridge Chapel.  Once inside the gate, proceed up the hill and there will be a sign with arrows indicating where to go.

Your prayers and presence are requested. A light reception will follow the service at Lakeside Lodge. Because we will be outside and it will likely be hot, all rostered ministers are invited to sit where they please and simply bring a stole to put on for the Laying on of Hands. Red is the color of the day.

Jesse has accepted a call to serve as Pastor at Lutheran Church of Our Father in Greensboro, North Carolina.
"God's Work. Our Hands."
is Sunday, September 10th.

Our work at Calvary Food Pantry will be held on Saturday, September 9.

On Sunday the 10th,  we'll have 3 projects
  • MELC Clean-out and Organization
  • Cards of support for Houston's first responders
  • Noisy Offering for BrotherWolf Animal Rescue

We'll be working in our Medical Equipment Loan Closet during each service and in the time between.  We'll be cleaning and sorting equipment, cleaning the space, and reorganizing our supplies.  You're invited to come worship at one service and help clean out between and during the other service.  Come and see how large MELC has grown, and learn about how it's impacting our community!

Do you have a "God's Work. Our Hands." tshirt?
If not, click here to sign up for one!  Nativity provides these shirts at no cost to you.  We wear these bright yellow shirts when we do service projects, to remind us and others that we're doing God's Work!

Join us for the next  Pub Theology meeting at Blue Ghost Brewery in Fletcher (off Airport Rd. at 125 Underwood Rd. Fletcher) on Thursday, September 7 at 7:30PM.  All we need is YOU!  Questions?  Contact Andra Nus at [email protected] or 828.545.9519.

Our Welcome Table Ministry is looking for helpers.  We serve breakfast at Skyland United Methodist Church on the 3rd Saturday of each month and need 12 to 14 volunteers each time.    You can greet guests, tally numbers, serve the meal, bus tables, run the dishwasher (a lot like Nativity's), or help in the kitchen. There is always a monthly sign-up sheet under the WELCOME sign in Fellowship Hall.   Please call Nancy Seekamp at 687-8265 or email [email protected].
