IDENTIFICATION IS REQUIRED FOR SAME-DAY, OVER-THE-COUNTER TRANSFER OF OWNERSHIP DOCUMENTS
The Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk's office is focused on consumer protection and fraud prevention.
As of
August 14, 2017, for all transfer of ownership documents, the Recorder now requires
identification be presented by a principal party of the document that is presented over the counter for same day service, as determined by management.
DDS Legal will continue to be your recording experts, but for transfer of ownership documents, we will be required to drop-off and pick-up later:
Note from Recorder: Notaries, couriers, title company representatives, lenders, agents and others are not considered principal parties of the document and will be required to utilize our drop off method for recording within 1-3 business days.

LOS ANGELES SUPERIOR
COMING IN 2018 - FAMILY LAW CASES TO BE HEARD AT WHITTIER COURTHOUSE
Continuing it's efforts to make better use of available resources for litigants, the Los Angeles Superior Court has announced that five family law courtrooms will begin hearing cases at the Whittier Courthouse, located at 7339 South Painter Avenue, by January 2018.
