Fiber College of Maine
September 6-10, 2017
Searsport Shores Ocean Campground

Fiber College of Maine is an annual fiber festival whose sole reason for being is to celebrate the fiber arts in all forms. Maine is particularly blessed with artistic energy and inspiration from the flow of the tides, the rolling hills of the blueberry fields and the stars in the night sky.

Each year, the weekend after Labor Day, fiber artists, crafters and students gather together for a weekend of casual fiber classes, time with friends old and new, live animals and good food. Location is Searsport Shores Ocean Park and Campground, Searsport, Maine.

Our overarching theme this year is  Re-Use, Re-Design, Re-Create in the spirit of the Black Belt of Alabama and the Native Americans closer to home. Zero waste design is a way of life that is re-gaining recognition and as members of the wealthiest society in the history of the world, it is invigorating to see just how we can re-purpose our abundance to feed the needs of our souls.

Need more reason to be excited? Friday, September 8th is the Makers' Market at Fiber College- Free admission to everyone. Set up or browse the $10 market tables, take a rolling class (think "a la carte" or "make and take" or "boy that looks fun! I want to do it")...for only $20 session.

  Peace Fellow Mammals
Local animal communicator, Naomi Graychase, was always "sensitive." And she loved animals, but it wasn't until a series of heart-breaking events occurred, that she discovered she had the ability to open her heart into the practice of animal communication.

She was trained by an expert animal communicator in Massachusetts, and for the last five years has been working professionally as a telepathic animal communicator based in Bucksport.

She works over the phone, so distance is no object. And she can even talk with animals who are no longer in their bodies. And while her business is called, "Peace, fellow mammals," she can talk to any beings, living or passed away, not just mammals!

Learn more or book an appointment at her website,  Peace, Fellow Mammals , or find her on  Facebook .
