Schmalz Celebrates New Headquarters


Raleigh, July 10, 2017 - Schmalz, Inc. is pleased to announce today that it will be cutting the ribbon to its newly built facilities sitting on a six-acre site at 5850 Oak Forest Drive, Raleigh, N.C., together with the Managing Directors of J. Schmalz GmbH, Dr. Kurt Schmalz, Wolfgang Schmalz and Andreas Beutel, as well as Dr. Volker Schmitz, President of Schmalz, Inc., the Lt. Centro Inc. Announces New Employees
Jerry Walling

Centro is excited to share two recent changes. 

Jerry Walling has joined Centro as Business Development Manager for the Compressed Air Division.
 
Jerry has exceptional experience and has had multiple sales management roles at Numatics, Fabco Air and other industry companies. He will focus for the next year on driving our business forward in KY, TN, MS, AL and Northern FL and will take over full responsibility as Division Sales Manager at the beginning of January 2019.

Bruce Smith
Bruce Smith has also joined Centro as Territory Manager in the Birmingham AL branch.  Bruce has an outstanding industry and market background and was a very successful salesperson, sales manager and general manager of distributor operations in Alabama and the Southeast for Control & Power, Wilson Mohr and Relevant Solutions.

Veteran engineers and technicians are comfortably planted in their current positions, and their recent- graduate counterparts barely register manufacturing automation as a career option. The resulting worker shortage is prompting automation distributors to rethink hiring strategies and methods to promote the industry to the next generation of engineers.
