Is Your Data Safe?
Data breaches hit an all-time high in 2016, up 40% over 2015 according to the ID Theft Resource Center! Watch out for one of the latest email scams using IRS and FBI emblems to entice users into clicking a link to a fake questionnaire.  Instead, ransomware is downloaded that locks out your data.   Remember these rules:
  • Never click on a link you are not 100% sure of!
  • The IRS does not initiate contact by email
  • Back up your data frequently so it can be restored
