Supporting Members Affected by Hurricane Harvey
Our hearts are with the many who are affected by Hurricane Harvey. Many thanks to everyone who has already stepped forward to provide assistance and support.

This disaster, as with many, does not end with the passing of the main event, and we know the recovery will take some time.  The horses and horsemen affected by Harvey need and will continue to need our support and assistance. If you are still looking for a way to assist those affected by this disaster, here are a few options to consider:
  • The USHJA Foundation Horseman's Assistance Fund is a potential source of support in times like these. We expect to receive requests for assistance from members, and therefore, donations are welcome to support this fund and the long-term recovery of members affected by Harvey and other catastrophic events. Click here to donate.
  • USHJA, in partnership with other equestrian organizations, is supporting an effort to collect and ship supplies to those affected by Harvey. This effort is being managed by the Association of American Equine Practitioners. Click here for more information.
  • The USEF has also announced relief funding through the USEF Equine Disaster Relief Fund, which is supporting the Houston SPCA's rescue and rehabilitation efforts.
  • The Chronicle of the Horse recently covered the relief efforts underway in Texas.  The story includes information on resources and ways to support our fellow equestrians. Read more
USHJA will continue to seek other avenues to support affected members and will keep you informed of those sources.
